Playdates and more

We had a great playdate at our wonderful friends Heather and Lucky's house. Lucky has all sorts of cool toys including this cozy coupe. Lauren was in love with this darn car, so much that I have been looking for one online. We had tons of fun this day.

Spencer and Lauren's first "real live" rainbow! I have been telling Spencer every time it rains to run to the window and look and see if there is a rainbow. I think he finally started thinking there were really no rainbows haha. We finally got one today after a massively cool thunderstorm :) Kevin took this very cool photo with his new iphone, not bad for a phone camera!

Birthday fun with our friends Rachel and Abi

We were invited to a really great birthday party by my friend Rachel and her adorable daughter Abi. There is a really neat place called My gym and it has all sorts of things for the kids to do.

Here is Spencer with his friends Abi (blue shirt) and Maya sitting next to him getting ready for CAKE! A 4 year olds best dream right there.

My little fishy

Spencer has been taking swimming lessons for the last 4 weeks and LOVES it. I am pretty sure he is a natural fishy haha. Here are a few shots of his first lesson. He starts his second session coming this Monday and he is very excited about it.

Somebody took their first step today ::cough, cough:: Lauren. She was standing at Kevins chair and took her first step right in front of us. She was so proud! Her new little thing is this cute laugh she does a big "Haha", we need to put up a video it's hilarious.

Whaaa... I need a tissue, my baby girl is growing up.

Halloween Party

We had such an awesome day! These are pictures from our Halloween costume party with my moms group. I did not even know this park existed, and the best part is it is right down the street. We will be going to this park much more now.

Typical Utah weather

This was last Sunday October 5th. This was our first snow of the season to stick. Of course bright and early in the morning Spencer insisted on getting on the snow gear, and going out to play in the snow.

A front view of our house. That is not a random dude on our porch. That is our halloween guy that I put out every year. Spencer helped me name him Harold.

Video Week

School day for Spencer

Here is Spencer just a little younger than Lauren is now. Soo sad! I can't believe he was ever small :).

We had carpet installed, and the kids got the crazies. Here is Spencer running wild.

Lauren has a little fridge addiction going on. When ever we open the door she "Speed crawls' to it, so she can try to hang ten the veggie drawer.

Hill Air force Museum

We went to the Air force Museum here awhile back, and it was so much fun! I can't believe I forgot to put these up. There is another hanger area, with a plane that you can walk into. The area was closed for construction, so we will need to go back another day :).

The planes were huge, and the kids had so much fun.

Black Island Farms

We went to Black Island Farms on Friday. We had such a blast!!! We started out doing a Tractor pulled hay ride to go pick out our pumpkin in the patch. The weather was perfect! It was a tad cloudy and not too hot.

Next we moved on to the slides and petting zoo area. Spencer was drawn to the "Pig house". We could hear this loud squalling noise coming from the pens. He wanted to go in and open the doors to let the pigs out.

Charlie decided to take Spencer on a little "adventure". Spencer didn't want to go down the huge slide, but Charlie was convinced he was going, and that he did!

Onto the cowtrain ride. At first Spencer wasn't sure about this whole ride thing. He screamed when I put him into the ride, and I climbed in behind him. As we rode through the corn maize, he got excited and said we were riding Percy train. He was telling me all about how we were connected by freight cars and the tractor pull. After the first ride, he went four more times. The last time he went all by himself.

We ended the day by going through the scary dark corn maize. It was late by the time we went through the pitch black corn maize. My trusty new great camera still captured us all, even in the dark. The night photo option is a handy function.

BROKEN CHAIN

Getting schooled

This morning was Spencer's third day at Preschool. We arrived a little early so he could play on the equipment.

I forgot all the older children would be out waiting for the entry bell to ring. In the school courtyard, there were at minimum 100 "head" of children. It was akin to being in a cattle pen, or maybe the middle of the Monkey area at the zoo.

Spencer and I sat on the park bench watching the kids . Kids really are very bizarre. I watched from afar, the close talker, the little blond boy rolling on the cement, 4 girls hand to hand pushing through the crowd..... very strange, yet cathartic I tell you.

The next event was close to something out of a horror flick, or natural disaster. The entry bell rang, we observed this <100> head of kids trying to jam in through 2 tiny doors in the wall.

In the span of 2 minutes we entered chaos to pure silence. Spencer and I just sort of looked at each other, then headed toward the now empty playground.

I have an hour and half left of this bliss....I suppose I should take advantage :).
